Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Inchworm for using the app. By using Inchworm, you agree to them.

1. What Inchworm is

Inchworm is a productivity and wellness app that helps you start tasks — it breaks something you're avoiding into one small step and gives you a low-pressure focus timer. Inchworm is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or manage ADHD or any other condition. It is not therapy and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are struggling, please talk to a qualified professional.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age where you live) to use Inchworm. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement.

3. Your account

Inchworm creates an anonymous account for you automatically so it can save your progress. You're responsible for the device you use it on. If you create a full account later, keep your login details secure.

4. Inchworm Pro and billing

• Inchworm offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, Inchworm Pro.
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store / Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices and plan details are shown in the app before you buy. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the app: don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to it, and don't use it to do anything unlawful.

6. Community & the accountability buddy — zero tolerance for abuse

The accountability buddy lets you send a name, a start heads-up, and short cheers or notes to another person. There is zero tolerance for abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable content sent to another user. By connecting with a buddy you agree not to send such content.

We take reasonable steps to filter objectionable content, and every message you receive can be reported and its sender blocked from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content, end connections, and suspend or terminate the accounts of people who violate this policy, at our discretion and without notice.

7. Your content

The tasks and notes you enter are yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you — for example, sending your task text to our AI provider to generate steps, storing your data so it syncs to your device, and (for the accountability buddy) delivering the specific things you chose to share to the person you connected with. 8. Our content

The app, its design, and its brand are owned by Inchworm and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

9. Disclaimers

Inchworm is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular outcome. Inchworm is not professional, medical, or mental-health advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inchworm and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update the app or these terms over time. When we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Inchworm after changes means you accept them.

12. Termination

You can stop using Inchworm anytime and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
